dry coat

my 2 yr old male has a severely course dry coat. he combs nice and its shiny but very course and dry. he has no known allergies but insists on laying under our pine bushes out back (the only shade we have besides the patio...we rent so we cant do too much to the yard) and is constantly coming in with debris in his fur which i pick out. my border collie lays under there too but her fur is always so soft and silky manageable. what can i do for him to make his coat like hers?

Aussie Issues?

what kinds of Issues have any had with their Aussies? Domanance? Refusal to listen? Agression? Hard Headed? Constantly trying your status as top dog? Ive one in adolence now. and all of the above are issues. Ive started flipping him on his back every time he defies me. Its working better then many methods. Hes ALWAYS pushing me, the limits, the house rules, etc. little monster.....

chewer for life?

I (and my vet) think my herding mix has some Australian Shepherd in him. He's 2 and is chewing me out of hearth and home. Aussie owners, were your dogs still chewing maniacs at this age? Will he ever grow out it?
