If you’ve ever tried to rearrange your dog’s belongings, you’ve probably been met with a curious stare or quiet concern. Dogs notice more than we give them credit for, especially when it comes to the things they are fond of. That’s the case in a recent video where a rescue dog finds his owner napping with his favorite toys.

Shared by @cactustherescue, the clip shows Cactus, a rescue dog known for his love of stuffed toys. His owner, Mike Brown, decides to test his reaction by gathering up all of Cactus’ beloved “stuffies” and taking them away, only to use them for his own nap.
As Brown walks off with an armful of toys, Cactus immediately follows, clearly curious and slightly concerned about what’s happening. The video then cuts to the bedroom, where Brown is seen lying in bed, comfortably surrounded by the toys. Across the room, Cactus stands still, watching the scene unfold.
Rather than rushing in to reclaim his belongings, Cactus hesitates. According to Brown, the dog appeared unsure and possibly didn’t want to disturb him. Sensing this, Brown gently invites Cactus to join him. In the next moment, Cactus is seen cuddling not only with his toys but also with his owner. The interaction becomes calm and affectionate, with Brown gently petting the dog as he relaxes into the space.
In the caption, Brown explained that Cactus is “obsessed with his stuffed animals,” especially at bedtime. He added that the dog seemed puzzled when the toys were taken, but remained patient, waiting at the foot of the bed until he was invited up.
One user described Cactus as having “such a sweet disposition,” while another imagined his inner thoughts, joking that he was likely thinking, “Dad…come on now.” Others pointed out the expression on the pup’s face when he first saw his owner with the toys, noting how he seemed unsure but polite.
