A tiny rescue puppy named Oliver recently discovered how much joy a simple plush toy can bring. He spent the start of his life surviving a severe animal cruelty case before getting a true second chance at Love-A-Bull. His wonderful foster parents at @pittiesinthecityatx captured his incredibly emotional reaction on video. And it is guaranteed to make everyone smile. This resilient little guy never actually owned a single possession before, but that changed when his foster parents handed him a tiny stuffed duck.
Rescue puppy experiences true joy a toy can bring for the first time in foster home
The adorable clip opens in a hallway with the foster dad leaning over the sweet boy. We see Oliver be curious for exactly a second before exploding with pure happiness. He picks up the puppy-sized yellow duck right in his mouth and instantly starts bouncing off the floor with it. This sweet rescue puppy is clearly so proud of his new toy.
He even trips slightly as he prances so fast toward his foster mom, who is filming, but quickly gets back on track. The cute pup just wants to show off his treasure to everyone. He gets a quick kiss from his foster sibling and immediately turns around to strut back to dad.
He happily shakes his head to process the excitement. His foster parents love the brand-new milestone. They even joked online that the toy company definitely knew what they were doing with this specific plush. According to his page on the adoption website, this gorgeous Bully breed mix is currently 25 weeks old and weighs just 13 pounds. He is super friendly with other dogs, too.
