When to muzzle your dog

I Recently had a 3 year old German Shepherd taken away from me and killed by the City of Ogden, Ogden, Utah He was playing with my children in the yard and bit a couple children....not bad bites kinda nips but did break the skin...so had to be quarantined for 10 days...that made him so crazy!!!...when I picked him up out of quarantine the Animal Services said I had to have a muzzle on him at all times...except in the house!! Is this appropriate for his playing around??

My 4 month old black lab has alot of energy. Sometimes, after a walk, during a walk or when just playing in the backyard he will stop, look at me then basically "atttack" me... He jumps up starts biting at me. I have tried the "ignoring" thing and the "rolling on the back and "muzzling" thing as well, he reacts better to the dominance roll. Any suggestions?

Training a territorial dog

My husband and I have rescued a 10 month old dog about 2 1/2 months ago. He was very timid around us at first, and did not know how to be a pet. He loves my husband and I and enjoys playing with other dogs. We have noti... (continued)
