Few things are better than having your dog greet you like they have been waiting all day to see you. For Cannoli, that excitement is especially obvious whenever he returns home from daycare. The long-haired Dachshund wastes no time running toward his owner and settling in for some much-needed attention. Before long, he is squealing happily and seemingly giving his owner a detailed account of his day.
Dog races home from daycare to excitedly greet owner and share his day
Cannoli, a mini long-haired Dachshund, appears to have a very clear routine after spending the day at daycare: get home and find his favorite person. A video shared by @cannoli_the_weenie shows the eager pup running across the house toward his owner, who is sitting on the couch.
The clip explains that Cannoli has just returned from daycare, but there is no sign that he is ready to wind down. If anything, he races through the room as though he has somewhere important to be. His destination is his owner, and Cannoli seems determined to get there as quickly as possible.
Text on the video reads, “Rich because my dog comes home from daycare and tells me about his fun day.” Once Cannoli reaches the couch, his owner gives him belly rubs, and the Dachshund responds with a series of excited squeals.
The owner then asks Cannoli about his day, and the pup appears to have plenty to contribute to the conversation. He continues making his enthusiastic noises while enjoying the attention, creating the impression that he is giving his owner a full rundown of his daycare adventures.
The caption reflects how much the owner enjoys these daily reunions, simply saying, “It’s always my favorite part of the day.” For Cannoli, the feeling seems to be mutual, judging by how quickly he runs over and settles in for some affection.
The adorable exchange also caught the attention of viewers, who had plenty to say about the Doxie. One commenter asked, “How can someone be this cute and adorable,” while another said, “That snoot needs to be booped at least a million times.” A third person wrote, “[He] misses you too much,” pointing out just how eager he seemed to reunite with his owner.
