Shelter Dog Returned for Being ‘Destructive’ Lets His True Spirit Prove Otherwise

An Instagram video shows a shelter dog being returned because of his “destructive” behavior. Through the post, the shelter clears the air, claiming that the pup is just “misunderstood.” Named Jeremy, the 5-year-old Catahoula dog was once adopted but was returned within six months.

According to the family, he became chaotic when “bored.” So, the volunteers and shelter staff came up with a solution that helped him show his true spirit. Meanwhile, the caption reads, “It’s hard to believe such a smart, loving boy is still waiting for someone to choose him.”

Shelter dog proves he was only misunderstood after he’s returned

In a touching video on Instagram, a shelter dog named Jeremy shows that he has been “misunderstood” by his previous family. The clip begins with the fur baby looking at a caretaker with sweet puppy eyes. Meanwhile, a line displays on the screen, saying, “He was returned.”

It was mentioned that Jeremy was sent back to the kennel because he seemingly became “destructive when bored.” Instead of taking the reason lightly, the shelter staff enrolled him in the agility course. In the video, Jeremy can be seen jumping, climbing, and figuring out little hurdles flawlessly. It appears the pup only needed more than a walk in the neighborhood.

Furthermore, the uploader explains Jeremy’s personality in the caption. “Some dogs just need a little more than a walk around the block, and Jeremy is one of them,” it reads.

As he didn’t receive enough exercise or mental stimulation in his previous home, the shelter dog was being “chaotic.” A simple misunderstanding brought him back to the shelter. Hence, the uploader urges viewers to understand Jeremy and help him find his happy ending.

“He has such a smart mind and such a big heart, and he deserves a family that will help him use both,” the caption says. The shelter dog video has garnered over 17K likes as of this writing.
