At first, the toddler crouches down to give the Golden Retriever a gentle pet on her head, but the dog wants belly rubs. So instead of staying put, Skylar rolls right over and puts her belly on full display for Shalom, asking for rubs as the video’s on-screen caption reads, “POV: spying on my toddler and dog on my Ring camera.” And that really is the fun of it.
Under the video, the owner called it “The sweetest moment,” adding, “glad our @ring captured this!”
What is so striking about the moment is how easy the Golden Retriever and the toddler seem with each other. Skylar does not hesitate to ask for belly rubs from Shalom, and the little boy does not seem surprised either. And that is true of how dogs often act around people they trust.
