When it came time to plan Harvey’s first Christmas, his parents at @mygoldenharvey skipped the easy flight and chose the much longer drive instead. In the video, you can see the Golden Retriever’s dad being super thorough with the car seat straps, while his mom captures the whole Christmas Day scene from the porch.
Harvey keeps glancing back at his mom like he’s checking in, totally oblivious to the fact that this car ride is going to last most of the day. Rather than leave him behind or rush through an airport, they decided Harvey was coming along for the whole Christmas experience. It’s a big ask for a first trip, but the pup seems more than happy just being along for the ride.

For such a young pup, he settles into the drive almost immediately. The video of the Golden Retriever has already gathered over 6,300 likes, mostly because people are touched by the effort his parents are making for his first Christmas.
After the car door shuts, we get a quick selfie of the whole team getting organized. His mom and dad are busy figuring out the phone, while Harvey just sits there patiently.
Soon, they are hitting the highway, and this is where the footage gets really cute. Harvey is sitting up like a good boy, letting the breeze hit his face as he takes in the scenery. There is even a great side mirror reflection shot where you can see his ears flapping wildly.
His lips are fluttering in the wind, which has viewers totally obsessed. One even noted how pure the moment is, wishing more people would treat their pets like family. As a Golden Retriever, he seems perfectly content to just sit back and enjoy the ride.
