Nobody looking at Ringo curled up in a volunteer’s arms would guess how little time he’s been given. That’s what makes the Instagram post shared by @gods.angels1111 so difficult to watch. In the video, we see this sweet shelter dog do something much quieter than barking or pacing. He simply melts into every cuddle, closes his eyes, and enjoys the moment.
Meanwhile, the caption explains that West LA Shelter planned to euthanize him on Friday unless someone stepped forward to foster, adopt, or rescue him.
Shelter dog needs someone to adopt him urgently
The video opens with Ringo resting his head against a volunteer’s chest while she gently strokes his back. On-screen text reads, “Urgent” and “He doesn’t know he’s out of time.” A few moments later, she kisses the top of his head and wraps both arms around him. Another in-video caption quietly adds, “He just thinks he’s getting extra cuddles today,” followed by the heartbreaking reminder that it could be the last one he ever gets.
The scene then shifts outdoors, where Ringo sits calmly in the shelter yard looking toward the parking lot. He has his leash on, but isn’t running or bouncing around with it. He simply watches the world go by.
According to the volunteers, Ringo is friendly with other dogs in playgroups, walks nicely on leash, takes treats gently, and happily leans into anyone willing to scratch behind his ears. Like many dogs adjusting to life outside a safe home, he also needs time to decompress and build trust at his own pace.
Thousands of people have already stopped to support the shelter dog’s video, and the comments are filled with offers to help. A viewer in Pennsylvania even offered to adopt him if transportation could be arranged, while another one in Paso Robles said they would come if the shelter could hold him. Taking a chance on this sweet boy will easily guarantee a lifetime of loyal companionship. Drop a quick message to the rescue page to save this handsome pup today.
