Shelter puppy is waiting to be adopted by his forever family
The Humane Society of Broward County has shared a story of an incredible “1 year old, Melo” who is looking for a loving family. The clip shows the shelter pup being at his best behaviour as he plays with the volunteer, lets her pet him, and is “looking to chill.” The caption even mentions that instead of “spending his days chasing balls, going on adventures, and learning all about the world,” Melo “found himself running the streets alone before making his way to our shelter.”
However, this “sweet boy” can be “very shy” at first. Moreover, he can easily get “nervous” with “loud noises and the busy shelter environment.” He even sometimes shuts down when things become overwhelming. However, when he feels safe, his true personality starts to come out.” Telling more about the pooch, the volunteer shares that Melo “loves car rides, fetch,” and “cuddling with their people.” He even knows certain commands like “sit” and “down,” takes treats very gently, and absolutely loves to eat.” Melo even “enjoys being petted, loves giving kisses, and will even hold your hand.” And although he gets along with other dogs, he does “tend to chase” cats.
Hence, the Melo really needs “a home where he can relax, feel safe, and finally be someone’s dog again.” And as per the reel, the “young, strong dog,” will “thrive with regular exercise, continued training, and a family willing to help build his confidence.” No wonder, looking at the adorable pup, netizens joined in on the mission to help the pooch find a home. “Gorgeous! Let’s share and support the ongoing journey foster adopt,” said a person on the post. While another individual mentioned, “Brave Melo, you’ll have a furever home soon.”
