A mama shelter dog named Sonja and her puppies, who were sadly dumped in a park, have been waiting for a chance at life. On June 23, @madtotherescue took to Instagram to share the heartbreaking story of a mama dog and her babies in a video. Since then, it has received a lot of attention from dog lovers around the world, garnering more than 6K likes on social media as of now. Sonja and her pups have been pleading for rescue.

A heart-melting video on Instagram showed a shelter mama dog named Sonja, inseparable from her puppies. They need someone to rescue them as soon as possible. The video has captured the hearts of many online. The caption of the post read, “I so wish Sonja could talk. She’s clearly had MANY litters in her life, but she’s also (world), heartworm negative, has long nails – everything points to her being an inside dog.” It continued, “But then she was found dumped in a dog park with her puppies.”
The caption then revealed, “She was on the euthanasia list for today but luckily has been extended to tomorrow, 6/24. The runt, Shiloh, was going to be euthanized but thankfully she made it into a foster home through the shelter. The rest of the family is still in danger.” It continued, “She is ready for some pampering and I’d love to see that long face turn upside down!”
The Instagram video began by giving a closer look at the shelter mama dog, Sonja, sitting quietly inside her kennel with her puppies. She had a very sad look on her face after going through so much in life. However, she was always taking care of her babies. When the volunteer tried to take the mama dog for a break, she was hesitant at first, as she didn’t want to leave her pups alone, even for a bit. The video will melt anyone’s heart.
