Dog Duo Head to Adoption Event, Unaware of What Future Holds for Them

Certain days end up taking a direction that absolutely nobody saw coming. An emotional Instagram video uploaded by @katieandtatesfostermates tracks a gorgeous dog duo heading to a local adoption event that completely changes everything. The two sweet fosters, Carla and Rosy, are just heading out to practice navigating large public crowds in New York City.

We see their caretakers get them dressed and out the front door. And their foster mom says they have zero expectations about finding a permanent home during this event. But the universe clearly has an entirely different plan cooked up for their afternoon.

The morning starts with the tiny girlies stepping out of bed to get fitted into their walking gear. And their foster mamas are just hoping the pups can handle the chaotic city environment without panicking. These two are actually Pomchies, which is a mix of Chihuahua and Pomeranian. They naturally inherit those fiercely loyal traits and incredibly big, sassy personalities.

The dogs load into the back seat and arrive at the venue wearing “adopt me” vests. Lots of strangers stop by to offer quick head scratches and ask questions. And their dog boyfriend, Kona, also shows up on a leash to offer some emotional support.

But the real magic happens when a particular man and woman approach their corner. And they do not just walk past after a quick pet. They actually sit on the pavement for over an hour to truly connect with the pups. One of the girls even climbs straight into the lady’s lap for a double cuddle session.

They go for a quick trial walk down the sidewalk. And it goes so perfectly that the foster moms immediately take off their “adopt me” gear. Everyone breaks into happy tears during the final photos.

This spectacular video update of the dogs’ adoption gathered over 12k likes from a community that loves these girls. They were saved from the house of an overwhelmed pet owner, and the foster moms love to joke that seven-year-old Rosy is four-year-old Carla’s grandmother.

Towards the end, there are photo updates from their new home, where the girls are already feeling at home. They have a two-week trial period to make everything official. But it definitely looks like they chose their humans perfectly.
