His mom instantly knows something is up because of his suspicious side eye and expressive eyebrows.

The scene unfolds in the kitchen, where Duke stands completely frozen on the floor. Despite his efforts to look nonchalant, he wears an expression of pure guilt. The text on the screen introduces this as “In this episode of what’s in my mouth now…”. He just blinks slowly at the camera lens while remaining motionless. His mom starts filming the standoff and gently tells him that he obviously has something.
Instead of running away, the Golden Retriever takes a slow step toward his owner while hiding the secret item. He slowly approaches her for a close-up inspection while keeping his jaw firmly clamped together. This breed naturally loves to carry objects around, and Duke is definitely staying true to that breed trait.
