‘Nervous’ Rescue Dog Isn’t Scared to Be Out in the World After Adoption

A rescue dog meeting her new forever humans for the first time is a total emotional rollercoaster. Over at @redtherescuemutt, a sweet pup named Red is showing everyone how much life changes after an adoption. As we learn from her bio, she is a former shelter pup now enjoying the good life. She was initially very nervous about stepping out into the big, loud world. However, her new family made sure she felt safe from the very first car ride. Watching her tail start to wag as she leaves the shelter is purely heartwarming for any animal lover.

Rescue dog is no longer ‘nervous’ to be out in the big world after finding a family

The footage begins right at the shelter doors as Red meets her parents. She walks around the corner on a leash and immediately recognizes her people. Her adoption was only a few weeks ago, but the bond is already incredibly strong. The video shows her sitting sweetly in the back seat during the long drive home.

Even though she was anxious, she eventually let out a massive, tired yawn. It turns out that finding a forever home is actually pretty exhausting work for a pup. Once they arrived at the house, Red got to meet her new human siblings. Two little girls were waiting to shower the rescue dog with endless affection and pets. Her tail wags the entire time they touch her soft fur.

They even surprised her with a pile of brand new toys to enjoy. She has a red Kong and a bright yellow corn toy to keep her busy. Seeing her look at the camera with so much love while being hugged is genuinely touching.

In fact, her silly side really started to shine once she realized she was safe. She loves to roll onto her back for belly rubs while clutching a rope toy. Her tongue often lolls out to the side in a perfectly goofy expression.

Several hundred people have liked the clip of her transformation so far. One viewer mentioned that this is the beautiful life every single pup deserves. Red is no longer a scared shelter resident; she is a cherished member of a loving family.
