Gunner, a four-year-old Great Dane, joined the family two years ago and has since decided that his mom shouldn’t ever be alone. Not even for even a second in the bathroom. Moreover, seeing a massive pup wander in just to stand nearby is the ultimate sign of affection. No words required.
Big dog doesn’t need words to express his love for mom, he just shows up
The video starts with D’Onna perched on the bathroom counter with her earbuds in. She is busy working with some makeup, and the text on the screen asks, “how do you know he loves you when he can’t even talk?” That’s when Gunner enters the room softly and stands there waiting for her to look at him. He is just a big dog waiting for his mom to notice he is there. This breed is famously affectionate and often called a “velcro dog“.
D’Onna finally notices him and gives him a very warm, genuine smile. She starts patting his head and leans over for a quick snout kiss. Gunner looks up at her with so much love in his eyes. He responds to her neck rubs by gently resting his chin on the basin counter. That’s the part people keep pointing out in the comments, too. “Checking up on mama,” someone wrote.
One viewer joked that he is a “house horse” and the best baby ever. Another follower mentioned that dogs follow us because they consider us as their pack leaders.
