Certain things in life are just destined to happen, even if they are not in the original itinerary. Sam was traveling through Mexico with his brother when a very sick and hungry pup decided to walk right up and ask for help. This is how @kaia.therescuepup entered the picture. Kaia was alone and clearly in a bad spot. But she wagged her tail with so much hope. Sam captured the whole emotional journey in a video that shows Kaia transitioning into her forever home.

Next in the video, we see Kaia receive medical treatment at the vet to patch her up. Later, she wears a medical collar for a while to stop her from licking her wounds. Sam petted her constantly to make sure she felt loved during the recovery. Kaia looks like she trusts her new person completely during her first bath at the groomers.
This pup shows the incredible resilience often found in a street animal. One viewer mentioned that they are both very lucky to have met. Kaia quickly becomes a dedicated travel companion to Sam and Adam for the rest of the trip. She never leaves Sam’s side as they watch a sunset together on a beach.
