Most airport greetings are pretty straightforward, but things took a very loud and confused turn when a certain pink hoodie made a sleepy pup forget his own mother for a second. Michael Henry and his famous rescue dog, Cactus from @cactustherescue, were just sitting in the car while it rained outside. They were waiting for mom to finally land, and Cactus was mostly just trying to finish a very cozy nap. But as soon as he hears the knock on the window, this video shows the rescue dog’s guard instincts taking over.
Rescue dog has the sweetest reaction to meeting mom at the airport
When the video opens, dad is pointing toward the window and telling the rescue dog to look behind him. But Cactus is so sleepy that he barely knows what is happening. Suddenly, a hand knocks on the glass. The pink hoodie and hat totally throw this rescue dog off. He immediately jumps up and starts barking his head off at the window. The in-video text says the hat and the knocking really confused him. He was clearly in full protection mode.
Mom is just laughing outside while she opens the back door to drop her bags. Dad asks him if that scared him. And then the lightbulb finally goes off. Cactus realizes it’s his favorite person, and he starts smiling uncontrollably. Additionally, we see him do a happy spin right on the passenger seat. His whole body is just vibrating with excitement. He can’t wait to get her into the car.
The reunion gets even better when she opens his side of the door. He is pure love and won’t stop kissing her. Mom just hugs him and plants kisses on his cheek. Over 33k people have liked the video already.
