Dog isn’t quite happy about owners leaving, but always wants pets
The video, shared by @timezonestinis, features Mason, a senior Shiba Inu who’s rather good at making his feelings known. According to on-screen text, Mason is “not happy” whenever his owners prepare to leave the house. The footage opens with the dog standing solemnly in the hallway, looking as though he has just received deeply disappointing news.
Mason then positions himself near the stairs, appearing to “guard” them as if physically blocking his owners from walking out the door. His posture is stiff, and his expression reads somewhere between betrayed and mildly offended.
However, Mason’s owners know exactly how to handle the situation. They pause to pet him before heading out. The on-screen captions describe his response as accepting affection “reluctantly.” At first, Mason appears resistant, maintaining his serious demeanor.
