In the video, the owner presses the button to show the Golden Retriever first. The button says “Hugs.” Wally finally pushes the button with his nose, and the word plays again, prompting the dog to lean in and give her a slow hug on command.
But the next round is a whole different vibe. Wally presses the button again, but doesn’t move after that — he simply sits there like he’s waiting for something. The owner hugs him and glances at the camera to explain, “He’s looking for treats.”
In the next round in the video, the Golden Retriever taps the button again, putting one paw on her arm, then leaning in, earning a “Good job” from his owner, while she consoles him with, “I know. It’s hard.” He tries another time and only gives her a tiny lean she calls a “hand hug.” And then the last one — the big one — where he hits the button and climbs straight onto her until she tips backward on the couch. That part looks like he suddenly figured it out and went all in.
