Shopping with your pets is always fun, and when it’s Christmas time, the joy of buying stuff along with your fur baby increases manifold. Recently, a humorous and wholesome video has been making rounds, capturing a pet parent going shopping for a Christmas tree with her dog. They both have one mission: to find a small Christmas tree, and apparently, the Golden Retriever’s paw size plays a key role in the decision-making process.
Dog picks his own tree for Christmas in video
This specific clip shared by @adriaandoatmeal shows a woman and her fur baby trying to pick out a Christmas tree. The video starts with the lady telling the Golden Retriever, named Oatmeal, that he can choose his Christmas tree. But there is one condition: it has to be small. The reason? They live in a studio apartment.
However, it looks like Oatmeal, who is dressed in an elf outfit, didn’t follow the instructions very well. Perhaps he got caught up in the festive vibes, as he immediately heads toward a pretty big tree. His mom quickly informs him that they can’t have a tree of that size, explaining that they need something small, about as small as the fur baby’s “paws.” The camera then zooms in on the dog’s paws, making the moment even more adorable.
Oatmeal, however, seems unconvinced and continues to explore. The dog then leads his mother toward a barn area, with her curiously asking where he is taking her. Upon seeing the cows, the lady tells him, “Oatmeal, we are not here to get a cow.” And as the cow lets out a loud “moo,” Oatmeal responds with a yawn, adding to the video’s charm.
As the dog once again wanders toward a big tree, the mom says that she feels they are getting distracted. She mentions that she’s not convinced that her fur baby has understood the assignment. However, they finally come across a small tree, and the mom takes it home. She says it’s lean but fits the Christmas vibe. At home, the lady is seen decorating the Christmas tree as the dog sits on the sofa, soaking up the festive vibes.
