Most mornings start with a phone buzzing or someone hitting snooze for the fifth time — but that’s not how days begin in Nauti’s house. This stunning Golden Retriever is a professional goofball who takes his morning duties very seriously. The video from @nautidoggo catches him doing what he does best: making sure nobody stays in bed longer than he thinks they should. He skips barking altogether and goes straight for his signature move — long, dramatic awoos aimed directly at the kids. He does this on the regular, but today, he was extra vocal.
Dog is loud enough for babies to wake up in video
The clip starts with Nauti already making noise right next to his mom’s bed. He is clearly ready for action, even if the rest of the house is very much not on board yet. When his mom suggests they wake the kids, Nauti gets up and out of his bed immediately. He walks toward the hallway with an adorable butt wiggle that shows his excitement at seeing his babies. He even pauses to check if Mom is following, and to make sure she didn’t get distracted.
Once they reach the bedroom door, Nauti waits with polite intensity for his big moment. And then mom lets him into the darkened room. Whatever indoor voice existed before this moment is completely gone. Nauti hops onto the bed, settles himself between the sleeping kids, and starts a full good-morning concert.
One child stirs and calls him over. He happily obliges, scooting closer and awooing like he’s saying hello properly. The other kid holds out longer, even through the noise — until Nauti redirects his attention, offers another heartfelt vocal check-in, and finally gets a reaction. And that’s when you know he’s done his job.
Even with all that noise, he’s still surprisingly gentle. For all the enthusiasm, he’s careful with where he sits, how he moves, and when he waits. The sweetness hits a funny peak when one of the kids admits they “farted,” making Mom laugh. Judging by the comments and the love it’s getting, a lot of people relate to this routine way too much. Somehow, he turns waking up into something that doesn’t feel so terrible.
