Video Shows Dog & Mom’s Morning Routine & It’s Too Relatable

Waking up before sunrise sounds impressive in theory, but the second you’re under a warm duvet, all bets are off. A lot of people brace themselves for a new dog to be their built-in alarm clock, ready to go the second daylight hits. Moogie, however, clearly did not get that memo.

This rescue dog has turned sleeping in into a shared hobby — and her human isn’t complaining. Kenley posted the moment on @k_kegler8, and it instantly struck a nerve with fellow non-morning people. As she joked in her caption, “Were really not morning gals.”

Mom and dog plan to wake up early, but end up sleeping till late in video

The humor really lands with the text overlay: “My mom: You have to wake up early to take the dog out. Me and my dog at 10:30 am.” And it’s hard to argue with visual evidence this strong. Bright daylight is already spilling into the room, but Kenley and Moogie are still fast asleep. Fully ignoring the morning. They’re curled up together, sharing a pillow like they do this daily. Moogie, meanwhile, is absolutely gone—limp paws, slow breaths, not a care in the world.

Then come the snores. Not just one gentle snore, but a whole rotation of them. Kenley doesn’t stir either. She just keeps sleeping, backed up by a dog who clearly agrees with the plan. Moogie has been described as a Velcro dog in other posts, and it shows here — if Kenley is resting, Moogie is right there with her, perfectly content to stay put.

If you’ve seen their other posts, this energy won’t surprise you at all. This is the same dog who happily takes part in seasonal trends, enjoys snowy days, and even gets her own advent calendar. She shows up for the fun — and then shows up just as hard for the naps.

With over 500,000 likes, viewers flooded the comments with stories of their own late-sleeping dogs and jokes about midnight walks replacing early mornings, and especially in winter, waking up before the sun feels more like a suggestion than a rule.
