It’s officially that time of the year when the couch feels warmer than the rest of the house. And mornings move a little slower on purpose. Truck, the chocolate Labrador, clearly understood the assignment.
In a video shared by @truckthedog_, the day starts with him already deep into what can only be described as a full-body cuddle session. He’s sitting beside his owner, eyes heavy, face loose, ready to pour every ounce of affection he’s been saving up overnight. The onscreen text says he was “extra mushy this morning,” and truly, every frame shows it.
Video shows Labrador getting max mushy with owner in the morning
The clip opens mid-cuddle, with Truck lapping up under-the-chin scritches. His eyes flutter shut. He smacks his lips softly, the universal sign of a dog who has absolutely nothing else to worry about.
As the camera moves closer, you get a front-row view of that blissed-out expression. Loose jowls, relaxed mouth, total trust. He melts deeper into the hands petting him. In fact, he leans in whenever the scritches pause, just in case anyone forgets he’s still available for more.
At one point, his human gently lifts his chin flaps and gives them a little tug, which Truck accepts without hesitation, because of course he does. There’s a quick nose sniff, a quiet check-in, and then he tilts his head right back into place for continued neck attention. It’s intimate in the most low-key, everyday way.
Then the video cuts to peak mushiness. Truck sprawls across his human’s chest and starts delivering an enthusiastic round of kisses, followed by a giant, satisfied yawn. The caption reads, “Did somebody order a half baked double fudge brownie,” and judging by the comments, the answer is a resounding yes.
With over 8.4K likes, people are calling it heaven, a hug emergency, and proof that mushy-faced dogs deserve everything. Truck, a Labrador through and through, seems perfectly content knowing he’s exactly where he’s meant to be — nowhere else, anyone else, or anything else required.
