Video: Dog Shows How To Do ‘Professional Napping’

Some dogs have hobbies. But Zeke has a profession. And judging by the way he throws his whole tiny body into it, “professional napping” is something he takes very seriously. You see it right away in the montage shared on @zekesphere — he’s not just snoozing, he’s working.

There’s a kind of earnest commitment in the way this Corgi finds every corner of the house and transforms it into a personal sleep station. It’s almost funny how natural it is for him. But then again, this little Melbourne fluff ball has a reputation: he lives for treats, cuddles, and also extremely specialized rest.

Part of why this Reel is picking up likes — over 2.4k at the time of writing — is because Zeke doesn’t nap like a regular dog. He naps like someone who’s clocked in, filled out HR paperwork, and takes pride in the craft.

The montage opens with him slumped at the base of a table. His chin is perfectly propped, like he’s guarding the furniture in his sleep. Then we jump to a window shot where he’s stretched long and limp. He’s entirely unbothered by the brightness, eyes fully surrendered to dreamland.

Next up is the doormat by the door. Zeke has chosen it, and therefore, it is the best spot to nap. More quick flashes follow — his head resting on the sliding-door ledge, a dreamy twitch in one clip, and finally, two closing shots of him tucked into his bed, toys scattered everywhere, before he smooshes himself against a piece of furniture like he’s trying to fuse with it.

His imaginary voiceover is the cherry on top: “Professional napping is no easy job. It takes dedication, concentration, and for everyone to shut-up-ation so I can do my job.” One viewer cheered him on, noting, “Sleep is hard work.”
