Video: Dog Siblings Arrange a ‘Meet & Greet’ During Their Dinghy Ride

Some canines love being around people, while others would rather watch the action than join in. This Instagram dog video captures that dynamic perfectly with two siblings, Neptune, the Golden Retriever, and Apollo, the German Shepherd, on a dinghy ride. While one can’t wait to greet every new friend, the other takes his time deciding if the crowd is worth the splash. Even after he jumps in, he wants to come straight back to the boat. It’s the kind of balance that makes their personalities shine in the sweetest way possible.

The clip, which has gone viral for all the right reasons, begins with Apollo and Neptune perched at the edge of a dinghy. On their way, they spot a group of people having the time of their lives in the water, and their excitement is impossible to miss. The Golden’s tail wags faster with every passing second. He is clearly eager to dive in and join the party.

The crowd cheers when they see the two pups as the dinghy approaches. Neptune doesn’t need much help. With just a little push from his owner, he jumps into the water and swims directly toward his new buddies.

The gang welcomes him with whoops and laughter, and the Golden Retriever makes sure that everyone is included. He paddles from person to person, offering sloppy kisses and soaking up the attention like the star he is.

Meanwhile, Apollo, seeing all the love and fun his brother is having, wants to join in. He puts his paws on the edge of the boat and then leaps in to join the party. While his brother climbs onto a giant float to fully bask in his role as the party’s main attraction, the German Shepherd eventually swims back to the boat, perfectly content with just a quick hello.

The video has over 323K likes at the time of writing. The comments are full of love for the pups. One user even commented on the different personalities the furry siblings have. They wrote, “You can tell which dog is the introvert and the extrovert.”
