On Thursday, a man tumbled down a Pittsburgh hillside, causing a medical emergency. When he couldn’t get back up, his beloved pet took the matter into his hands. The rescue team credited the pup for alerting his owner’s neighbors so they could get to him in time. Moreover, the team noted that the canine stayed by his human’s side throughout the rescue mission. He patiently waited for the authorities to lift him back to safety.

After his owner suffered a 20-foot fall, the dog ran over to their neighbors and alerted them of the situation to save him. Soon after, the neighbors called Ross/West View Emergency Medical Services for help. Due to the severity of his injury, the crew had to provide medical treatment while he was still at the bottom of the hill. They stabilized the man’s condition and provided treatment for trauma and pain before beginning the rescue mission.

The rescue workers had to use a rope system to lift him up. After he was brought back to safety, the dog owner was transported to a local trauma center. According to the New York Post, the hip injury was quite severe. However, the most adorable thing about the unfortunate incident was that the dog waited for his owner as he was saved from his 20-foot fall. As it was a scorching day, the rescue team provided the pup with a bowl of water and treats for his excellent work.
