Your Valentine may have four legs

Looking for the one to spend Valentine’s Day with? So are 102 million single people living in the U.S.The good news is that your special someone may already be in your life.

“Ask just about any pet owner and they’ll tell you, dogs and cats provide them with a lot of joy, comfort and companionship,” says Gregory Castle, chief executive officer of Best Friends Animal Society. And if you are not living with a pet, Valentine’s Day is the perfect time of year to adopt.”

The animal welfare agency is hosting $10 Pet Adoptions today (February 13) through February 16 at its adoption centers in Utah, New York, Los Angeles, and through participating No More Homeless Pets Networkpartners across the country.

“We encourage anybody looking for love to go to one of our adoption centers or your local shelter or rescue to find that perfect match,” Castle says. “Big and small, young and old, there’s a wonderful adoptable pet waiting to meet you and make this your most special Valentine’s Day ever.”
