A dog’s life is not easy by any means. This especially applies to pups taken to shelters, where they have a tough time adjusting. A recent post on social media has captured this instance. The video shows a shelter dog named Tyra Banks hiding under her bed on her first night in the kennel. A user named @frompitstopeaches took to their Instagram to share this heartbreaking moment. The page focuses on appealing for adoption for shelter dogs.
Shelter dog is just a puppy who tries to hide herself on first night at kennel
In the video, the shelter dog gets scared and hides under the bed on her first night at the kennel. Tyra is seen hiding under the bed with a terrified look on her face. As per the caption, Tyra is just 10 months old and weighs 36 lbs. She kept hiding, trying to make herself as small as possible.
However, Tyra begins to relax once she gets a chance to be with people. She ends up leaning on them for comfort, to show that she demands safety more than anything else.
Shelter dogs long for safety and comfort, living alone in kennels. Tyra’s shelter doesn’t know much about her yet or the reason behind her fear. There is a chance she had painful experiences, which makes her skeptical of interactions.
The shelter reported that they visited her today, and she was happy to have a visitor despite her terror. Moreover, they explained in the caption that they don’t want the pup to spend another night scared and alone in a kennel.
They continued, “If you can foster or adopt Tyra Banks, please visit Fulton County Animal Services or reach out as soon as possible. Even a foster could change everything for this sweet girl.” Netizens also shared their reactions, with one saying, “ok well now i’m crying.” Another one commented, “Oh my god sweetest baby angel.” A third user shared, “I hope she finds the best home.”
