A young Golden Retriever has melted hearts online by refusing to let go of his dad during a swim in the lake. Although many viewers initially assumed the puppy felt nervous in the water, the adorable clip revealed a much sweeter reason: he wanted to stay as close as possible to his favourite person.

The clip opens with Wally already in the lake, pressed tightly against his dad’s side. The puppy wraps himself against his dad’s leg and rests his head comfortably against him.
