Shelter dog trusts human in kennel despite enduring a stressful life
The video opens with volunteer Julie sitting beside Luna on the elevated bed inside her kennel. While Julie reads a book, Luna leans against her leg for a moment before slowly letting herself fall backward into her lap. It looks just like a trust fall, and Julie barely reacts beyond keeping her hand moving across Luna’s back.
A few moments earlier, Julie had unpacked her backpack, settled in with her book, and offered Luna a few treats. The shelter pup happily accepted the treats, then inched back toward Julie instead of settling anywhere else.
