Shelter Dog Was Failed More Than Once & Now She Barely Survives in Kennel

A heartbreaking Instagram video shows a senior shelter dog who was abandoned twice. Named Ivy, the six-year-old American Bulldog has returned to the kennel for the second time. In the clip, she looks “stressed” as the pooch sniffs and runs inside the extremely confined cage.

According to the caption, she is “sweet and playful” and still has not yet found a forever home. It is said that she was found on the streets after her second owner abandoned her. “No dog should have to experience the heartbreak of losing a home twice, only to end up alone again,” the caption reads.

Senior shelter dog, who was abandoned twice, is waiting to be adopted

In a sad dog story on Instagram, a senior shelter dog named Ivy has survived being abandoned twice. The clip begins with the American Bully being agitated inside the cage, barking continuously. In the on-screen text, it is written, “Stress is not a behavior..!! It’s surviving!!”

Then, she is seen outside on the grass, being petted by a volunteer. On the screen, her situation has been shared, with the message that “no dog should have to endure this cruelty.” Meanwhile, the caption mentions that Ivy was brought to the kennel as a stray. She was adopted but surrendered to the shelter. “Everyone hoped her second chance would finally be her forever,” the caption reads.

Unfortunately, Ivy was found on the streets a second time. The shelter reached out to the owner, but nobody responded. Now, the fur baby has returned to a challenging life, waiting to be adopted by the right family. “Ivy deserves the safety, love, and commitment that every dog should be able to count on,” it states.

Furthermore, the shelter dog video shows that the pooch is friendly and “not reactive” to other dogs. Viewers have come forward in the comments to boost the post so Ivy can find her happy ending soon.
