This Is What Working Out With 4 Golden Retrievers Looks Like

Instagram user @hdbrosriley thought working out with four Golden Retrievers was a good idea — and in some ways, he was right. In an adorable video, he announces his plan to the camera with utmost optimism, saying, “Alright, so today is going to be an attempt to work out with four golden retrievers. Let’s see how it goes.”

Within seconds, all four Goldens have swarmed him like a furry barricade, and it is visible that this would not be a regular session. What follows is not a fitness routine but pure, joyful chaos.

Working out with 4 Golden Retrievers is super chaotic and adorable at the same time

The moment this dad of four Golden Retrievers begins working out and drops to the floor, the dogs see it as an invitation, surrounding him with wagging tails and no sense of boundaries.

Two of them press their heads onto his face and neck, smothering him while he grins through the huddle. On the cable row machine, one of the pups jumps right in his face, while the others crowd the base, ensuring his range of motion is roughly two inches.

At one point, a squeaky tennis ball appears on the bench, and one dog focuses on it with a lot of patience — and while dad continues his routine, the Goldens first take his cap off, then target his t-shirt. In the end, three pups received forehead kisses while their dad worked his way towards push-ups.

The video’s caption says, “POV: your workout partners have zero boundaries,” and honestly, that is not far from the truth when dogs love you.

Viewers loved every bit of this unusual workout routine. One begged, “I found my new gym!!! Where do I sign up?!,” while a second viewer joked, “Personal space is space they are personally supposed to be in.” A third just observed, “I have to assume the wild one is the youngest,” and that is a fair guess.

In the end, working out with Golden Retrievers led to zero reps without interference, but that was exactly what melted hearts.
