In the video, the huge dog stands still, looking like he has all day to wait. Meanwhile, his tiny black-and-tan Dachshund puppy sibling shuffles around him, busy with her own puppy business — that is, until she realizes that she is standing next to her big brother.

Because she’s so small, the puppy in the video can’t really see the huge dog right next to her. She heads straight toward one of the Dane’s back legs and pauses for a beat, like she is trying to assess and make sense of what she has found. As soon as she realizes she is standing beside a living being, the tiny pup springs backward in a little hop, startled as if she has just discovered an unexpected thing in her own house.
