You think your nighttime routine is solid? Wait until you watch Waffles’s video — a dog who is very serious about his movie night, and it includes a toy selection process, a bedside water break, and dinner service in bed — all while he watches “Tangled” like it’s his full-time job. Instagram user @thewafflesmonroe shared the video in which the Dachshund thoroughly prepares for his movie night.
Dog gets his dinner served in bed while he watches ‘Tangled’
In the video, the dog starts the evening by standing over a pile of toys, nosing around, and proudly grabbing a toy named “Lamby” for the movie night. Only then does he climb onto the bed, ready for the movie run. The on-screen text explains, “Waffles has been on a Disney kick,” as he stares up at the TV with utmost concentration. The text adds, “Tonight he chose Tangled,” and the little guy looks locked in. All the while, he keeps Lamby close.
Then Waffles takes a “bedside water break,” pausing mid-movie. The routine only gets better: Waffles eats dinner in bed while the movie plays, served on a tray like the guest of honor. When he finishes, he turns to look at his mom, expecting her to “pamper” him.
As the film goes on, the on-screen text describes Waffles’ favorite scene-stealer: “Horse is best part. he is funny” — and just like that, the video wraps with the Dachshund rating the night’s pick “5/5 paws.”
People in the comments resonated with the whole setup. One viewer wrote, “So cute my baby gets his lamb chop for movie nights too lol,” while another added, “Toby has a nightstand water bowl and eats off a tray too. Im glad I’m not the only one.” And one long-time Dachshund owner shared, “My dachshund is turning 19 this year and still loves watching tv.”
Dogs don’t always “watch” TV the way humans do, but many love the routine — the cozy bed and the attention that comes with settling in. The titular video proves that this dog, though, treats movie night like his lifestyle.
