Dog Simply Refuses to Get Out of Bed in Sassy Video

Mornings are tough. The alarm goes off, responsibilities call, and yet the bed feels like the most irresistible place on earth. While humans are often guilty of hitting snooze or bargaining for “five more minutes,” it turns out our four-legged friends can be just as stubborn. A dog recently proved in a new video that getting out of bed is overrated, and his sass-filled reaction has the internet in stitches.

Instagram video shows Vizsla puppy in no mood to leave the bed

Otis, a young Vizsla puppy, recently made viewers laugh with a video that accurately depicts a relatable moment of morning resistance. Uploaded to @otisbegotus, the clip shows Otis’ owner attempting to wake him from a cozy nap. From her point of view, the camera captures the puppy’s hilarious reaction as she gently tells him to get up. Rather than springing to his paws, Otis gives a human-like side-eye, his sleepy eyes saying plainly, “I want to stay in bed.”

The puppy keeps the same expression the entire time, which his owner jokingly called his “sassy” face. Even when she gives him a gentle shake, Otis refuses to budge. It feels like he’s silently insisting, “why get up when the bed is so much better?” His determination is so strong that his owner eventually gives up and announces she will head out for a walk without him. Still, Otis hardly stirs, holding onto that deadpan look as if to prove his point.

As soon as the video was posted, people filled the comments section with laughter and relatable stories. One viewer admitted, “His face just cracks me up every time,” calling out Otis’ human-like expression. Another joked, “Sleep time not talkie time,” as if they were reading his thoughts aloud.

Someone else noticed the stubborn streak all too clearly. “He has absolutely no intention of getting out of that comfy spot,” a user wrote. And then came the most relatable comment of all: “I had that same look through middle school wake ups.” Suddenly, Otis wasn’t just a stubborn pup; he became the internet’s poster boy for anyone who has ever begged for “five more minutes.”
