7 month old black lab
my 7 month old black lab is being neutered tomorrow hopfully it will limit or stop the mount of time he keeps clampin down on my arm when to excited i had other dogs neutered in the passed but it never takes the nerves away of somthing going wrong

It's a lie about health, especially prostate diseases. Castration can cause prostate cancer and others. There are less harmful methods of birth control, such as vasectomy. Also read Wikipedia at least: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Neutering#Disadvantages

I have four cats with this operation. They're all heavy. I had a vasectomy too and I'm pretty heavy. There must be some relationship regardless of the specie. In my case I'm pretty energetic though.

Neutering your male
I got my dog neutered and I'm not happy about it. He now has a very high-pitched bark, versus before when his bark was more deeper and menacing. Not good.....as the main reason we got him was to scare away burglars.
Also, I have noticed that he now prances around in a very feminine manner. It's almost like he has turned gay. That's all I need for him to start showing interest in male dogs around the neighborhood.

I do not pretend to know the solution to this problem.I do know that if a pet owner in California "cannot afford" the surgery they probably really couldn't afford the pet because there have to be tons of reduced cost spay neuter clinics available there.I think sometimes people are just too stubborn or lazy to have it done and frankly no one like this needs a pet.All I have to say is PLEASE spay and neuter your own ... Neuter
My dog is an Australian Shepard and Blue Heeler he is approx. 8 years old he is not neutered we had no problems until we moved to the country and there is all sorts of dogs running loose. Now my dog is acting like he wants to run with the dogs and whines all the time I thought it was because his brother passed away about a month ago but now I am thinking it is because he is not neutered.
