According to her Twitter account, singer Miley Cyrus has adopted a dog. Cyrus acquired the pooch from Saving SPOT! Dog Rescue in Los Angeles; she named the pooch Happy.

She believes it's a Rottweiler-Beagle mix.

“He was left in a box in front of Walmart. I don't understand how people can be so cruel. That's why we named him Happy,” Cyrus wrote."There are times when I think we don't rescue them but they save us. He brings so much [love] into my life. We're both so grateful."

Cyrus made the announcement on Twitter yesterday.

“I [love] this boy do much,” she wrote.

  • Rottie's pet parent died; Rottie needs a home!

I am truly struggling to find a home for my recently-deceased mother's dog, Dixie, a not-quite-4-year-old Rottie mix. You can see her here http://youtu.be/halbM_Embsk I can not keep her as I already have two cats (Dixie is not a fan of cats) and two reactive rescued dogs of my own. As a note - Dixie is house and crate trained, fully vaccinated, spayed, heartworm negative, loves all people... but no one wants her.

  • Is it better to have to beagles or one?

hi my name is holly and im a beagle owner. I have heard many stories about that beagles are better pets if you have another beagle or dog to keep them company. Is this true?

  • *bold*PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!!!!!!!

I love my fiance dearly, but his dogs are becoming an issue between us. He has 5 beagles, all of whom he's had for years, and I would never dream of asking him to give them up, they've been his family for a long time. I'm trying to find a way for us to all coexist and, moreover, do so happily. So, here are the problems I'm facing: 1) the chewing. They've managed to figure out a way to get to my clothes and shoes no matter where I put them. My shoes are higher up than his work boots, yet they stay safe and I come home to find traces of leather everywhere. My underwear and bathing suits and clothes all seem to share a similar fate. It's not that I leave them out or on the floor, it's that they find a way to get to them. 2)the housebreaking. According to Brad, they've all been housetrained since they were a month old. Yet, when I moved in, that went out the doggie door, so to speak. They do, in fact, have a doggie door, that they use at the the slightest provocation. Their new favorite bathroom location, however, has become the living room floor. I'm really getting exhausted having to scrub the carpet everyday. 3)the biting. This is probably the worst, though it only happened once. The oldest, Eli, who is about 10, bit me so hard he drew blood. He hasn't done anything like that since, but it scared me. I've never been bit by a dog before, I usually get along well with dogs. I do my best to reward them for good behavior, but that only happens when Brad gets home. I don't believe in hitting dogs, and I never will, but I need some help. I know Brad will support me in the training, but I don't know where to start. Any advice would be nice. Thank you
