Do vets recommend that their clients get pet insurance?
Answered by Brent Hinton, founder and CEO of PetFirst Healthcare (http://www.petfirsthealthcare.com)
Veterinary costs are rising and will continue to rise, driven by the fact that vet clinics are aligning their fees with the real costs of offering services and also offering considerably more medical options to their clients. It’s been shown that pet owners with pet insurance frequent their vet 40% more often and implement the recommended procedures and care, as cost is not an issue. At the end of the day, pet insurance can be beneficial to both the pet owner and the vet clinic, in the form of savings and incremental revenue, respectfully.
