As the weather gets warmer, the dog walks get longer. All that exercise can work up an appetite, especially after being cooped up for a long winter. It’s always nice to stop for a quick snack. And that’s just what Colorado’s Smart Cookie Barkery had in mind when they created the Smart Cookie Cart, a mobile food stand hauled around by tricycle that can visit parks and places where pups are out and about.
The cart offers plenty of treats that would sound delicious even to most humans, but they’re for pups. There’s something called Rabbit Jerky, which they affectionately call “Doggie Crack” because of how much dogs crave it. Those treats are made from 100% ethically raised rabbit meat. Dog owners can also choose from a full menu to create a perfect box of treats for their own individual dogs.
All the ingredients are real, and the treats are made by hand in small batches that are wheat-free, corn-free, and soy-free. They sound like a great way to fuel pups while they’re walking off the winter blues, and I’m sure they make for great motivation for keeping up the pace.
