Toffee has been at the shelter just long enough to make a very strong first impression. The newly arrived shelter puppy greets a volunteer with excited little grumbles, a wildly wagging tail, and enough body wiggles to make the whole kennel visit feel like a party.
In the video shared by @tailstogetherco, the 6-month-old pup quickly backs up the claim that she is “seriously perfect.” She is curious, polite, housetrained, and very happy to accept treats, which may explain why the comments section is already full of people obsessed with her.
Newly arrived shelter puppy is waiting for someone to give her a chance at a happy life
The volunteer walks toward Toffee’s kennel with a simple introduction: “So I heard our new pup Toffee is seriously perfect. Here she is.” Toffee seems ready to prove the point. The moment the volunteer gets closer, the fur baby starts making those little excited grumbles, wagging her tail very fast. Her whole body joins in, too, and she wiggles around happily whenever the visitor talks to her.
Once she is out of the kennel, Toffee shows off another side of her sweet personality. She walks over politely, takes a few steps, and sits when the volunteer approaches with treats. “She is so petite and polite,” the volunteer says.
Toffee sits without being asked again, waits for her snack and gives away her excitement with one very funny sound: the thump of her tail against her body and the floor. The treats get their own ASMR moment, too. Toffee crunches away so enthusiastically that the text on screen calls them “the best crunchies,” followed by a very confident verdict: “Confirmed perfect.”
The video has picked up more than 32,000 likes, and the comments are just as delighted. One person joked, asking why the video was five hours long. Meanwhile, another summed up the soundtrack as “cronch cronch cronch and thump thump thump.”
Toffee is only 6 months old and weighs about 30 pounds, so Tails Together expects her to reach a medium size as an adult. She is already house-trained, well-mannered, and snuggly. A newly arrived shelter puppy does not always get this much attention this quickly. Toffee certainly seems to be making the most of it.
