Life inside the kennel walls can be quite difficult for babies. It can lead to a life full of fear and discomfort. This video captured a shelter dog named Jessica trembling inside her kennel. However, there is more to her story, as the dog is super friendly and playful when she is outside the kennel doors. On August 25, @adopt_storm_and_friends took to Instagram to share the video. Since then, it has garnered a lot of attention from dog lovers, gaining more than 1K likes on the social media platform.
Shelter dog suffering from kennel stress is a completely different dog outside
A heartbreaking video on Instagram showed a shelter dog named Jessica living in a constant state of fear while inside her kennel. However, when the dog is outside, she is super playful and happy. The video, which has captured the hearts of many on social media, mentions in the caption: “Jessica has been at the shelter for 47 days, and she’s not doing well. This playful girl is often found trembling in her kennel or licking the walls from stress, and it’s heartbreaking to watch.”
Accordingly, the Instagram video began by giving a closer look at the shelter dog. She sat inside her kennel calmly. However, the fur baby trembled as she felt tired and uneasy about life inside kennel walls. But she loves her time outside, as the on-screen text in the video informed. Additionally, Jessica loves to play cheerfully and freely whenever she is outside.
The caption also revealed the change in her behaviour once she is outside her kennel, highlighting that “she’s a completely different dog.” The post shared Jessica’s love for squeaky toys and how she has fun during her zoomies and making new dog friends. Suffice to say, “Jessica is dog social and can live with teens.” Moreover, the shelter dog “deserves a chance to feel safe and be the happy, silly pup she truly is.” The post then requested followers and viewers to help Jessica find her forever home.
Jessica has been waiting at Town of Hempstead Animal Shelter in Wantagh, Long Island, New York, for someone to give her a chance so that she can begin a new happy chapter in her life.
