It just takes one toe dip in the pool, and one Doberman puppy knows it’s not for him. An Instagram video shows the pooch named Draco, who seems to be having his first experience in a swimming pool. However, before getting in the water, an instructor encourages the pup to slowly walk down the pool using a grassy slide. Draco appears to be hesitant but still steps forward. But once he dips his toe in the pool, Draco makes up his mind.
Puppy tests pool water with one toe, immediately decides to back away
In a funny and adorable dog video on Instagram, a Doberman puppy makes sure to test pool water before going in. On the screen, text reads, “You’ve gotta at least put a paw in.” Meanwhile, the caption of the post reads, “*dips one toe* [laughing emojis] anyone ever met a dobie that ACTUALLY likes water??”
The video also shows the Doberman puppy wearing a shark-shaped orange floater. It begins with the pooch standing on a grassy slide that submerges in the water. He stands a few inches away from the waterline. Meanwhile, the instructor encourages him to enter the pool as he stands near him, already stomach-deep in the water.
Draco grunts, dips one toe, and eats treats from the instructor. Then, he pauses and rushes to take many steps back when the instructor asks him to come into the water. After a moment staring at the water in shock, he goes back more confidently for another inspection.
A user quipped in the comments, saying, “Hims just a baby shark.” Many shared the stories of their Doberman pets and agreed with the owner’s caption. Another viewer also wrote, “That is absolutely the most Doberman to ever Doberman.” The post has received over 6K likes so far.
