This video featuring a Golden Retriever hiding his duck friend from his mom is too wholesome to miss. While the dog named Boojeaux already has loving humans around him, he recently got some unexpected companions. His parent, who goes by the Instagram account @dojeauxcreamgoldens, recently brought home a few ducks.
It didn’t take long for the fur baby and the ducks to become the best of friends, making the home even sweeter and more heartwarming. Boojeaux seems to adore his feathered companions so much that he spends most of his time with them, even hiding them behind his paws and seemingly joining them in their little mischief.
Mom discovers Golden Retriever hiding and snuggling with duck sibling
This video shows a mom becoming suspicious of her Golden Retriever, not knowing what he is hiding. Whenever a dog parent brings home a new pet, there is always a little uncertainty about how the animals will get along.
However, with time, patience, and proper guidance, dogs often welcome the newest members of the family with love. Once they form a bond with their new siblings, there is often no going back: the friendship becomes unbreakable. The same is beautifully reflected in this video.
The clip begins with the dog sitting cozily on the couch. It seems like an ordinary day when the fur baby simply wants to unwind and enjoy some quiet time. There is innocence in his eyes, but his mom can sense that he is up to something.
When she asks him what he is doing, he doesn’t respond and simply lifts his head slightly. But his mom knows there is something going on. She gently lifts his head, only to discover a little duck named Charlie cuddled up beside him.
The mom chuckles and asks if Charlie is his friend. The Golden Retriever then sticks out his tongue, almost as if giving her a definite “yes.” The adorable moment perfectly captures the unexpected friendship between the two, showing that sometimes the sweetest bonds can form between the most unlikely companions.
