120 Lb Shelter Dog Is a Certified ‘Love Bug’ Who Just Wants Snuggles

One look at Camper’s face while he is getting chin scratches, and it is pretty clear this sweet guy has no idea of his size. Shared by @wagsandwalks, the video shows a 120-pound shelter dog behaving less like a giant breed and more like someone who thinks they can still curl up in your lap. Everyone who meets him seems to end up scratching his ears, rubbing his chest, or laughing at his goofy antics. With his training program almost over, though, Camper needs something bigger than another belly rub. He needs a family waiting for him at the end of it.

The clip opens with Camper leaning in close to receive some satisfying under-chin scratches. When the video cuts to show him previously at the shelter, he looks incredibly large inside his tiny kennel, which is clearly a tight fit for him. That’s when the rescue decided to pull him from the facility. We see a volunteer hug the giant boy tightly before leading him out into the sunny parking lot.

Soon, he relaxes on a cozy couch at a temporary home. He playfully tosses a plush lambchop toy around like a total goofball. Because of his size and playful nature, the rescue team enrolled him in a structured program at Whittier Dog Club. This handsome Saint Bernard is already a giant, meaning an experienced handler can help keep his energy in check.

In other shots in the video, we see him sweetly taking toys from volunteers and showing off his brand-new manners. He clearly thrives when he receives regular attention from human friends. On daily walks, Camper often pauses to solicit head scratches instead of actually getting his steps in.

He even happily flops onto his side for sidewalk chest rubs from multiple people at once. The viral video quickly pulled in over 2,000 likes from fans rooting for this shelter dog. The training staff even left a note praising him and added that he loves sleeping on his back and taking long strolls. This goofy guy is officially finishing his training school and would do well in a child-free home with a spacious yard.
