On July 13, the owner of the fur baby took to Instagram to share Zeke’s inspiring story through an emotional video via the account @mellowmuttsdogtraining. The clip has since started to receive a lot of attention from dog lovers on social media.
Rescue dog survived a life without humans, only fearing them, learns what it’s like to trust
A heart-melting video on Instagram showcased a rescue Shiba Inu dog named Zeke learning how to trust humans again after living without them and fearing them for a long time. The video has been winning hearts on the internet. In the caption of the post, the human parent of the fur baby wrote, “This dog has made me a better dog trainer, dog mom, and human being.” The pet parent also asked viewers to share their own favorite stories about rescues.
The Instagram video begins by giving a closer look at the rescue Shiba Inu dog, Zeke. He can be seen sitting calmly in the backyard, enjoying a sunny day. The text written over the clip reads, “Rescued from a life of breeding. And a life without humans.” As the clip went on, viewers got to learn that the fur baby felt fearful of humans. His life was “nothing but survival.”
However, after two and a half years of his rescue, the dog learned to trust humans. He now wags his tail, barks with excitement, and loves relaxing in his backyard. His life absolutely took a turn for the better after his rescue. The fur baby truly deserves the love and care he’s receiving in this new chapter of his life. “That is so nice to see- many dogs out there need rescuing,” a fan pointed out in the comments section of the video.
