Dad Gives Orientation for Rescue Dog Before Moving in With Girlfriend

Moving in together usually means learning routines. For Taylor P. Miller, it also came with a full briefing from her boyfriend. In an Instagram video, the comedian and former teacher shows him giving an orientation for Culver, his boxer and beloved pet, as she prepares to move in. The funny clip explains Culver’s food rules, tricks, and favorite game, while showing how carefully his father protects the pup at home.

The video was shared by @taylorpmiller. The on-screen text says, “I’m moving in with my boyfriend so he gave me an orientation for the dog.” Her caption called rescues special and included the hashtags “boxer” and “dog”. The reel begins with Taylor’s boyfriend holding a binder as if he were leading a serious class. Culver stands nearby, looking ready for the lesson.

He introduces him, saying, “Meet Culver,” and explains that he rescued him at 9 months old. He says Culver had two other families before him, and he does not think they treated him well. Because of that, he calls Culver “a little special.” He also says that extra-special pups need extra-special rules.

The orientation then becomes a careful list. He shows hypoallergenic kibble in a storage bin and says Culver has limited food choices. He can have cucumbers, mangoes, and dates, but not strawberries. Taylor seems to take in every detail as if she is preparing for a test. The funniest part comes when Culver shows off. His owner asks for “chin,” and Culver calmly places his face in his hand. Then they play hide and seek, with Culver waiting until the happy “peek-a-boo” moment.

Fans loved the serious briefing in the comments. One wrote, “As a fellow boxer owner, it is VERY important to give everyone an orientation for boxer dogs.” Another added, “The pen clicks ???? what a good boy.” A third said, “Love you aiming to ace the test with strawberry ? knowledge.” Someone else wrote, “He likes hide and seek ?.”
