Shelter Dogs up for Adoption Get a Happily Ever After With Fairytale Wedding

A wedding is usually the happy ending for most couples. For Margo and Pascal, it happened before one. The two shelter dogs recently got dressed up for their wedding celebration at @pittcountyanimalservices, where there were photos, plenty of attention, and even a kiss for the camera.

It’s the kind of thing that would normally mark the start of a new chapter. In this case, though, the biggest part of their story is still waiting to happen. While the pair have become close friends during their time at the shelter, both are still looking for a forever home. That’s what makes the photos so sweet and just a little bittersweet at the same time.

Adoptable shelter dogs’ wedding is just like a fairytale as they wait for forever homes

The shelter decided to have a little fun with two residents who clearly enjoy spending time together. The lovely bride, Margo, a high-energy Terrier mix, absolutely loved being the center of attention. She wore a white veil and a matching tutu for the big occasion. The carousel post’s caption tells us that she spent the whole day bouncing around and soaking up the love from the crowd.

On the other hand, the groom looked a bit overwhelmed by the whole situation. Pascal is an American Pit Bull Terrier mix who wore a formal black hat and a cute tuxedo bandana in the video. But his hilarious facial expressions looked exactly like a man desperately wondering if it was too late to change his mind.

The two furry friends posed for a series of gorgeous portraits and even sealed the deal with a big kiss. The facility staff joked online that both pups are already spayed and neutered. So, there definitely will not be any surprise honeymoon puppies in their future. While the mock wedding isn’t legally binding, these shelter dogs are hoping it helps them land a real forever home. They became best of friends while sharing space at the facility and love spending time together.

The only thing missing from this fairytale story is a real family for each of them. Pups waiting in local facilities often show their true personalities best when they have a friend around. And these two are evidently ready to move out. People looking for a new companion can visit the facility on County Home Road from Monday through Friday between 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. Alternatively, they can call 252-902-1725 to check on the newlywed couple.
