Everyone seemed to be having a good time down in the pub garden. Funny thing is, the one guest people couldn’t stop talking about wasn’t even standing with the crowd. A clip on @thepoacher.hurstpierpoint shows a lovable pub dog called Guinness watching the proceedings sweetly from an upstairs window. More than 39,000 people have already liked the video of the Bernese Mountain Dog, and most of them seem convinced Guinness had the best seat in the entire place.
Dog has the perfect window seat to enjoy a party from a distance
At first, it just looks like footage from a lively evening at the pub. There’s music, plenty of people gathered outside, and an atmosphere where everyone is having a great evening. And then the camera tilts upward and zooms in, where, sitting in an open window overlooking the entire scene, is Guinness. His head is resting on the ledge as he watches everything unfold below.
The on-screen text sums it up perfectly: “Just a good boy, enjoying the show.” For a dog sitting cutely in a window, he looks surprisingly invested in the party. He sits there taking it all in like he’s got the best seat in the building. Viewers immediately started making jokes about the whole thing.”Unacceptable that this good boy is not at the party,” one viewer wrote.
Another joked, “What you guys don’t realize is that he’s in the V.I.P. (Very Important Puppy) Skylounge at that club.” Others demanded, “Get that dog a ticket,” while someone else asked, “ok who DIDN’T let the dog out.”
Once again, Guinness doesn’t exactly seem short on excitement. Other posts on his own Instagram account show him greeting locals, soaking up cuddles from customers, and recovering from the exhausting work of being a pub dog. According to one caption, there are always people to meet, dropped chips to clean up, and plenty of attention to collect.
Maybe that’s why he skipped the dance floor. In fact, if the view is that good and people keep admiring you from below, there’s probably no reason to move at all.
