The whole video is basically one giant dog standing next to a pool and questioning every life decision that led her there. Over on @qira_wikki_the_berners, Wikki has people fully invested in what should’ve been a very normal pool moment.
The weather was hot enough to make anyone want to jump straight in, but Wikki, the Bernese Mountain Dog, completely disagreed. She stayed planted on the steps for ages, just staring at the water and thinking about it. The best part is how deeply concerned she looks the entire time.
Dog carefully checks pool water before stepping in very slowly
The video starts with Wikki staring into the pool like she absolutely does not trust it. Her tail keeps wagging, but every time the paw gets close to the water, she changes her mind. She tries a second time, barely touching the surface before staring right up at her filming human for reassurance.
Big fluffy dogs somehow always make hesitation look extra dramatic, and Wikki is really committing to it here. So, she obviously keeps three of her giant paws firmly planted on dry land. After a lot of back-and-forth, she finally leaves the paw in the water for real. Once that first hurdle is over, moving forward gets just a tiny bit easier.
Her human backs away a little, and Wikki slowly follows with another careful step. However, the hind legs are a whole different story. She takes her sweet time testing each step because she needs to be absolutely certain everything is fine.
More than 4.2K people have already watched and loved Wikki slowly argue with pool water. And the comments section is packed with people loving her high-stepping style.
One viewer teased that she was just doing a proper risk assessment in case something went wrong. Another added that they were completely invested in her slow leg dips. And apparently, Wikki isn’t alone because the comments turned into a support group for nervous pool water dogs.
