Bragging about a completed chore is a universal trait, even for very smart four-legged geniuses. A precious throwback video shared by @camilleandthedogs features a sweet foster dog named Olive showing off her morning accomplishments. Camille runs a rescue network based in Raleigh, North Carolina, and tells us that this beautiful pup initially felt terrified when she first arrived at the house.
She eventually came out of her shell and established a lovely morning ritual with her caregiver. Now, this clever girl lives a wonderful life on a real farm in Durham.
Foster dog shows human how she finished her food puzzle
The Instagram reel opens with Olive standing expectantly on a living room rug, and she clearly wants her foster mom’s full attention. Her owner asks what is wrong, prompting the dog to let out a tiny whine. Then she walks right up to the camera to let her know the urgency of her appeal. Since this is a daily routine, mom knows where the pooch wants her to go and tells her to lead the way. Olive immediately starts trotting eagerly toward another area of the house.
She walks past her regular food and water bowls while moving quickly down the hallway. She enters another room and pauses to make sure mom is following. The happy pup then does an excited little hop when she sees her human behind her. She takes a few more steps while looking up expectantly at her foster mom.
On the carpet lies a completely solved plastic toy with all the hidden compartments flipped open. Olive sits down directly in front of her big accomplishment to pose for the camera. Mom exclaims that she did a wonderful job. Hearing the praise makes the pup jump up to place her paws on mom’s stomach. Then she drops back down into a proud sit while the compliments continue.
